2nd Annual Harambee Charity Golf Classic: Thanks!
We are happy to announce that the 2nd annual Harambee Charity Golf Classic was a huge success! The event, which was held on July 15, 2010 at the Musqueam Golf & Learning Academy in Vancouver, was organized by the Harambee Charity Golf Classic committee for the Canadian Harambee Educational Society (CHES), and presented by JJ Bean. Proceeds from the fundraiser are put toward the high school education of promising young girls in impoverished areas of Kenya and Tanzania.
Although donations are still trickling in, the current net result is just shy of $34,800! This figure is over $14,000 more than was raised at the same event last year.
