“THE BENNY” SAVOURY DONUT
A super savoury spin on the brunch staple. Malasada dough filled with a soft poached egg, flavourful Montreal-style smoked meat, and luscious housemade hollandaise. Fresh batches hourly!
RAMEN-EGG SANDWICH
Marinated jammy eggs, kewpie mayo, hot and sweet pickled carrots, Fresno chilies, green onions, microgreens, and black sesame seeds on a Malasada bun. Made to order!
BANANA DATE SHAKE
Brimming with sweet, nutty, and creamy vegan-friendly flavour including bananas, dates, almond butter, hemp seeds, ground flax seeds, and cinnamon. Smoothie heaven!
Coffee and donuts are kind of in our DNA. In 1945 “Gumpy” Frank started Neates Coffee while “Granny” Ella made donuts; together they pedaled deliveries of fresh coffee and donuts around Vancouver. It took decades for the right opportunity to revive the original legacy... and then years of refining recipes with the same meticulous attention to detail we devoted to JJ Bean’s coffee program.
Some things just belong together. Neate Donuts exists so everybody can have their favourite coffee and their favourite donut at the same time: whether you like drinking single origin, espresso, or dark roast – and – whether your favourite donut is yeast-raised and glazed, cake-dense and intense, or overflowing with flavour-packed filling.
Our donuts are handmade fresh each morning and throughout the day, with real fruit and quality ingredients that JJ’s Granny would recognize. We hope you enjoy.
Fundraising Programs
Being in Vancouver for four generations, we created fundraising programs to give back locally to the community that support us. Registered charities and schools can raise funds by selling JJ Bean Coffee or Neate Donuts to their supporters. We provide these at a significantly reduced price, enabling these groups to donate the profits to their cause. Neate Donuts are also produced at original donut lab, Sunwood Square, and delivered fresh daily to all JJ Bean locations except Big Bend, Granville Island, and Marine Building.
